YouTube is trying out a policy that makes it easier for creators to claim the AdSense revenue their videos generate. In the United States, India, and Indonesia, some members of the YouTube Partner Program now have the ability to cash out their AdSense accounts after earning just $20. Previously, $100 was the minimum threshold for those payouts. According to the YouTube Help page that tracks ongoing experiments on the platform, the lowered threshold is going into effect "starting from October 2026 payments for a randomly selected group of creators" across the three aforementioned countries. Those creators can control their payout threshold through their AdSense accounts. Partner Program members can already use that page to raise the minimum payout amount, if they so choose.
